Case description

Surgical video case: post-cholecystectomy syndrome is a group of disorders resulting from complications of laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The patients exhibit a heterogeneous group of symptoms, such as upper abdominal pain, vomiting, gastrointestinal disorders, jaundice, and dyspepsia. Choledocholithiasis, biliary dyskinesia, and dilation of cystic duct remnants are common causes of these symptoms. As dilation of cystic duct due to excessive length of the remnant cystic duct may cause post cholecystectomy syndrome, measurement of the remnant cystic duct is important.
