Case description

Postoperative fistula may be an indication for esophageal stenting. Esophageal fistulas can develop a connection between the skin (esophagocutaneous fistulas), the trachea (esophagotracheal fistulas) or the mediastinum. They can frequently be cause of many complications or even leathal. The following material presents a patient with esophagocutaneous and esophagotracheal fistula after surgery for esophageal adenocarcinoma on Barrett's esophagus base. All fistula holes was covered with stent, what fixed the leakage (first video).Some time later the stent had been replaced distaly a few centimeters (second video).
