Regional Congress of APAGE 2015

We are pleased to announce the Regional Congress of APAGE 2015 to be held between 3rd and 6th June 2015 in Singapore at the Academia, an iconic landmark on SGH Campus, with state-of-art research laboratories, education and training facilities.

This congress is jointly organised by the Minimally Invasive Surgery Unit from KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital in conjunction with SingHealth Duke-NUS OBGYN Academic Clinical Programme and Asia Pacific Association for Gynecologic Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Therapy. The theme of the congress is "Endometriosis and Gynaecological Cancer - Strategies in Minimally Invasive Surgery".

The Organising Committee has put together an excellent 4-day programme, comprising of a main congress focusing on the theme of minimally invasive management of endometriosis and gynaecological cancers. There will also be beaming of live surgeries by renowned international surgeons; Masaaki Andou, Michael David Mueller and Alan Lam. The types of surgeries include laparoscopic surgery for severe endometriosis, laparoscopic hysterectomy in frozen pelvis and oncological surgery like hysterectomy and lymphadenectomy in a case of carcinoma cervix/ uterus) and there will be LECTURES, VIDEO presentations and PANEL DISCUSSION covering the above topics.

In addition, there will be pre-congress workshops, consisting of animal workshops with hands-on training led by Dr Rakesh Sinha as Chief Instructor on advanced laparoscopic procedures and dry lab exercises where participants will learn laparoscopic suturing, hysteroscopic resection, use of various energy devices and undergo simulator training.
