Case description

This a video of a 69 y/o patient who underwent emergency laparoscopic loop colostomy for obstructive sigmoid tumor with antegrade caecal and bowel distension, with caecal imminence of perforation. The patient did not have previous investigations or colonoscopies. This was done as a staged procedure so that damage control is performed and complete investigations could be done afterwards, especially colonoscopy to rule out syncronous tumors and to have biopsy results) and the patient is well worked up for minimally invasive resection and anastomosis.
