Case description

Thread lift is a method using absorbable threads made from an FDA-approved material called PDO (polydioxanone). PDO threads are absorbable by the human body and are completely biocompatible. Thread lift is used for lifting the face, neck, decolletage and can even be used for the tummy area. Thread lift is an alternative to surgery such as facelift surgery. Not everyone is keen to have surgery performed due to the pain, swelling, bruising and possible scarring and infection. A PDO threadlift has many of the benefits of traditional facelift surgery but without the side effects or complications associated with general anesthesia and operation. A procedure takes about half an hour or so. The results can last about 1.5 years. Video presented by Dr Kee Yong Seng from Premier Clinic Kuala Lumpur.
