Case description

Aortic dissection occurs intima ruptures and the blood flows into media. Also, the pseudo canal is formed in the aortic wall. According to Stanford classification, there are two types of aortic dissection. Type A (70%) is when ascending aorta is dissected and type B is when the dissection occurs in any other part of aorta. Video showed total arch replacement in recurrent aortic dissection (type A) used vascular ring connector (vasoring) after reconstruction of ascending aorta with vascular graft (suture technique).

Presented by Dr. Jeng Wei, Director of Heart Center of Cheng-Hsin General Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan.
