Case description

Dr. Jeng Wei, director of Heart Center of Cheng-Hsin General Hospital, Taipei, Taiwan presented repair of descending thoracic aorta with vascular ring connector in type B aortic dissection. Aortic dissection is a life threatening disease. Surgery for aortic dissection was considered to be very risky, but with the use newly invented vascular ring connector (Vasoring), the surgery became much easier, which greatly increases the surgical successful rate. The patient recovered very well and needed no blood transfusion during and after the surgery.
