- Dr. McCoy is originally from West Virginia, where he attended undergraduate and medical school at West Virginia University (Morgantown, WV.) He completed his Ob/Gyn residency at the University of Louisville (Louisville, KY.), where he also completed his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He had extensive training in Minimally Invasive Gyn Surgery during his seven years at the University of Louisville, which is known as a national leader in Minimally Invasive Gyn Surgery training. He was also extensively trained during fellowship on the da Vinci Robotic Surgery system for advanced reproductive surgeries, including laparoscopic microsurgical tubal reanastomosis. During residency and fellowship, his research won awards and was published in the areas of IVF, ovarian physiology, and laparoscopic surgery.
