Case description

The following material shows a left laparoscopic radical nephrectomy (LRN) with direct access to the renal artery. Radical nephrectomy has been the gold standard for treatment of renal cell carcinoma. One of the most important steps in LRN is the management of the renal pedicle. This phase, which implies a minimum manipulation of the kidney and its tumor, is often not performed. In this video we can see describing the entire technique of early ligature of the renal artery at the level of the Treitz ligament during left laparoscopic radical nephrectomy.
