Case description

Favorable outcome of kidney transplantation is particularly expected in the case of living donation. Satisfactory result can be referred as immediate graft function, defined by fast postoperative recovery of renal function with satisfactory diuresis and no further need for dialysis. Prospective analysis of 40 living-donor renal transplants was performed to assess whether there are any predictive factor of immediate graft function. Patients were compared in two groups in accordance with their initial graft function (immediate vs. slow or delayed).
