Case description

3-month-old infant with chylous pericarditis operated on due to ineffectiveness of other treatment modalities. He was presented to hospital at the age of 15 days of life with pleural effusion which was identified as chylothorax. Conservative treatment included Total Parenteral Nutrition and octreotide. Chylous pericarditis developed after chemical pleurodesis and thoracoscopic ligation of the thoracic duct. Lt thoracoscopy and pericardial window creation performed. Uneventful recovery.
