Case description

This 42-year-old male patient complained of the nasal block and decreased sense of smell. DNE showed a red friable firm mass arising from lateral wall of the nose. Biopsy revealed it to be inverted papilloma. Inverted papillomas are nasal tumors that originate in the mucosal membrane of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. Papillomas are benign epithelial tumors that grow outward in fingerlike projections in the nose.
