Case description

This patient had been complaining about a continuous postnasal discharge. On examination a thick greenish mucopurulent discharge can be seen on the posterior pharyngeal wall descending from the nasopharynx. The origin of this mucopurulent material was a chronic left maxillary sinusitis. Plain film sinus x-rays showed an air fluid level in the lower half of the left maxillary sinus.
