Accessory Maxillary Sinus Ostium with the Recirculating Mucus
Case description
Mucus may circulate back into a maxillary sinus via an accessory ostium as seen here. Note the thick white stream of mucus flowing down from the hiatus semilunaris and reentering this right maxillary sinus through a large accessory maxillary sinus ostium located in the anterior nasal fontanelle.
