Case description
This is a view into a normal left frontal recess taken with a 30° telescope. To the right the lateral face of the middle turbinate is visible. The uncinate process is seen fading superiorly. Between44 and 12 o'clock a small bony spur from the ethmoidal bulla reaches the skull base and fuses with the middle turbinate medially. The opening at the 12 o'clock position opens into the frontal recess and the one at the 2 o'clock position opens into the lateral recess [recessus suprabullaris].
