The Colours of Cerumen
Case description
Cerumen or ear wax is a complex mixture of desquamated keratin squames and hairs combined with secretions of the sebaceous and cerumenous glands. Cerumen varies in colour from golden yellow through brown to black The pigments responsible for the coloration of cerumen have yet to be identified. Burnt OHCHR is the most common colour of cerumen.
