Case description

In this right middle ear there is a large perforation behind the malleus. The white mass promontory of the middle ear is a tympanosclerotic plaque. Through the perforation we have an excellent view of the long process of the incus sitting on the head of the stapes and the stapedial tendon inserting into the neck of the stapes [10 o'clock position].
