Case description
This patient developed a mucoid fusion in this right middle ear following a prior episode of acute otitis media. The thick opalescent mucoid fluid in the middle ear is resolving as seen by the air fluid level. Notice how opalescence of the mucoid effusion prevents visualization through the tympanic membrane.
