Case description

This patient has developed osteitis following a course of radiation therapy. The epithelium of the inferior and posterior canal has sloughed away and the underlying bone destroyed by the irradiation. Exposed bony spicules can be seen posteriorly. Over time this dead bone will fall away as a sequestrum.
