Case description

A Ranula is a saliva filled cyst that forms in the mouth under the tongue. They may become very large. A ranula may be differentiated from a mucous cyst, because the contents in a ranula are clear, transparent and watery, whereas in a mucous cyst the contents are opalescent and white.
