Case description

The bone structure theta is within the center of bone is called cancellous bone. This structure gives strength and flexibility to the bone and supports the end plates from stresses placed upon them. Its growth is determined by the stresses placed on the body during physical activity.Bone sections that are too weak to support the physical stress on the bone are remodeled to make them stronger.Cancellous bone grows through the actions of specialized cells called osteoblasts. Under the influence of vitamin D and other hormones, osteoblasts secrete a chemical to activate another group of cells called osteoclasts that remodel the weakened sections of bone. The osteoclast acts to remodel the weakened bone by breaking it down.Once the bone removed ,osteoblasts return to the site of weakened bone to lay down new bone. The bone is made up of calcium and other minerals ,collagen, and phosphate. After the bone is remodeled ,it is stronger and better able to handle the stress placed upon it.
