Case description

UBE technology is an unilateral biportal endoscopic technique, which is suitable for degenerative diseases of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. Unlike a single channel of transforminal endoscopic spine surgery, this technique typically establishes two channels. One for the viewing channel and one for the instrument operating channel. The observation channel generally uses 0° or 30° arthroscope, and the operation channel can be applied to conventional spinal surgery and sports medicine instruments such as curettes, grinding drills (arthroscopic grinding tip), arthroscopic shaver blade, arthroscopic plasma radio frequency electrode, laminar rongeur, nucleus pulposus, nerve hook and so on. Of course, there are special equipment kits in Korea, and some people even complete the fusion surgery under the microscope through UBE technology. Video courtesy from Arthromed México.
