Case description

Dr. Janssen is a board certified orthopedic surgeon. He performed this oestochondral transplant on a 28 year old male patient who came to the office with symptoms of pain, swelling and clicking in his knee. Once it was determined the patient had an osteocondral defect, a donor graft was located and the surgery was scheduled. After removing a loose body from the patient's knee, Dr. Janssen carefully reamed the damaged portion and prepared it for the transplant. On the back table, Dr. Janssen removed a precisely measured plug from the donor and placed it in the patient's knee.
