Case description

Arthroscopic Reverse Bankart Repair is performed in the posterior shoulder dislocate. True posterior dislocations of the shoulder are rare. Low grade posterior instability are common source of pain in athletes. There is a brief discussion of how posterior instability is different from anterior shoulder dislocations. The case presented is a 17 year old football player who felt pain during bench pressing and his shoulder “fells out the place”. The scans are presented and explained, which anatomic structures are damaged and what can cause the symptoms. The surgery performed to repair the shoulder joint than is shown. In many cases the arthroscopic repair can relieve pain from posterior instability.
