The patients assessment of translation in glenohumeral joint is presented. The first step to success is to determine amount of anterior translation and whether in fact this patient dislocates right over the rim. The patient presented on the video does. After that an inferior translation is assessed as well. The second step is to correctly mark the landmarks and portals. The setup is shown and commented. After the camera is inserted into the joint, the operator can see the damage inside the structures. On these basics, a decision to perform Bankart repair was made.
