Case description

In this video you can see stitchless endoscopic carpal tunnel release. This is the most advanced carpal tunnel release video. Procedure preformed by John T. Knight MD. The carpal tunnel is located on the palmar side of the wrist. It connects forearm to the middle compartment of the deep plane of the palm. There are several structures that are inside of it: bones, connective tissue, several tendons and median nerve. The narrowing of the tunnel caused by, for example: swelling of one of the tendons, can result in median nerve being compressed. That is a common medical condition known as carpal tunnel syndrome. On the video doctor presents an endoscopic carpal tunnel release, which aim is to release the pressure put on median nerve. The viewer is presented with pictures that explain the anatomy of the tunnel ant the pathological process, that causes the symptoms.
