Case description

In this video you can see how to perform AC Joint Reconstruction with ST (semitendinosus) Allograft and Fibertape. The acromioclavicular joint connecting acromion and the clavicle. Due to some physical trauma it can be dislocated and ligaments can be torn. Sometimes surgical intervention is required in order to repair the damaged joint. Procedure performed and described by Richard Hawkins MD with the Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas. The video illustrates a technique used by Richard Hawkins MD. There are many new techniques, some of which are not quite secure as they should be. The procedure presented on this video, has a reasonable chance of success according to the doctor. All of the steps taken during the surgery are shown and explained in very detailed way.
