Case description

This video presents ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction using a modified dock technique. Procedure performed by Douglas Wyland MD with the Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas. Ulnar collateral ligament is a thick triangular band at the medial aspect of the elbow. It origins from the distal part of the humerus connecting it with proximal part of the ulna. It consists of anterior and posterior portion. They are united by intermediate fibres. When damaged, the elbow can become unstable. If the damage is severe enough, and physical therapy do not help, a surgery may be necessary to repair the ligament. The video presents the surgery step by step. Every aspect of the surgery is thoroughly explained and commented.
