Case description

I have been working on the fluid channels in the cornea and the conjunctiva since 1999. All the descriptions and the conclusions have been drawn from clinical observations. We shall see lymphatics if we look for them. The lymphatics are important for the movement of the fluids in the anterior segment. They have important bearing on the outcome of glaucoma surgery. They have relationship to infective and immunological conditions of the cornea and conjunctiva. Jut knowing that lymphatics exist in the cornea and the conjunctiva in huge numbers, makes us careful when we examine or operate on a patient. The lymphatics have to be saved - that is the lesson.
