Case description

This is a 1 level anterior cervical discectomy and fusion that I have performed using a low profile implant. This should minimize the amount of post-operative swollowing issues that can arise with traditional implant systems (which involved a plate). This procedure take around 35-45 minutes to perform and it can be done on an outpatient basis is select individuals. The goal of the surgery is to decompress the nerves and spinal cord. This results in relief of arm pain and neck pain in patients with a cervical disc herniation. For more information go to: www.siemionow.com
