Case description

Preauricular transparotid approach gives the surgeon a direct orthogonal view of an extracapsular condyle fracture. The correct surgical technique allows for safe facial nerve preservation. The use of 3D lambda, delta, or trapezoid plates matches the advantages of a stable fixation with minimum traction. Pay attention to a watertight parotid fascia closure to prevent salivary fistulas.
