Case description

Vessel ligation, typically the uterine artery, has been described as a preventative measure for bleeding in laparoscopic myomectomy. The internal iliac, or hypogastric artery, a vessel that obstetricians are familiar with ligating in the setting of postpartum hemorrhage, can also be used in laparoscopic myomectomy. In this video, we describe our technique on Internal iliac artery ligation in a laparoscopic myomectomy, to decrease acute intraoperative hemorrhage.
