Case description

Renal colic is the most common cause of non-obstetric abdominal pain in pregnant woman and may be an indication for hospitalization. Nephrolithiasis occurs in 1 to 244-2000 pregnant women. Pregnancy is a condition when both physiological and mechanical changes increase the risk of kidney stones. Renal colic in pregnant women is associated with significant potential risk to the mother and the fetus.
