Case description

The authors present the case of a 46-year-old man, with no known personal history, who went to the general surgery clinic due to dysphagia for solids that had been going on for around 2 years and an associated weight loss of 12kg. He underwent the necessary complementary diagnostic tests and was diagnosed with Acalasia type II. He was then proposed for a robotic Heller myotomy. The surgery was uneventful, as was the post-operative period. He was asymptomatic and had no complaints at the 1-month post-operative appointment.
