Case description

Surgical video case: chronic cholecystitis is thought to be the result of mechanical irritation or recurrent acute cholecystitis leading to chronic inflammation, fibrosis, and thickening of the gallbladder wall, which explains increased wall enhancement of the gallbladder compared with acute cholecystitis with edematous, necrotizing, or suppurative gallbladder wall, which leads to fluid or microabscess.
