This video from surgeon Paul Kitchen describes his technique for Modified Karydakis Pilonidal Surgery. This surgery is similar to the Bascom Cleft Lift surgery and uses most of the same concepts. These techniques are focused on preserving tissue in the natal cleft and eliminating the "ditch" which closes off air supply to a healing pilonidal surgery wound.
