Hiatal Hernia Laparoscopic Correction After Esophagus Excision

Case description

Introduction: Hiatal hernia after the esophagal excision is a disease, which can take place after application of any method of treatment. The disorder should be corrected as soon as possible, because sometimes it can be associated with perforation or ischemia of the colon. Case report: A 60-year-old gentelman complained of the early satiety, in a 5 months distance after the laparoscopic esophagal excision. The patient underwent minimally invasive correction with a colon shortening and continuity control. The hiatus of the diaphragm was narrowed with help of GE track fasting. Results: The surgery succeed and patient went home on POD1. In 9 months of follow-up period no recurrence was noted.
