Thirty five year old patient, with BMI of 36.9 and concomitant hypertension together with hyperthyroidism and previous surgical history of three cesarean sections underwent a procedure for LAGB in the department of General and Vascular Surgery, Hospital in Wejherowo, Poland. The operation has been performed using the SSL Access System via one transumblical incision, REALIZE® Adjustable Gastric Band has been implanted. The procedure lasted 40 minutes. There were no complications.
The video shows that the operation is both feasible and safe. Furthermore it improves cosmetic results and more importantly reduces postoperative pain and trauma.
