I am delighted to announce the program for the 1st European Guidelines Meeting on Laparoscopic Liver Surgery. It is a great pleasure to invite you to this meeting, and we look forward to seeing many old friends, and making new ones during this exciting and historic event.
A large number of International experts in open and Laparoscopic Liver Surgery are involved in the development of the future Guidelines for a safe and continuous expansion of Laparoscopic Liver Surgery in Europe and worldwide. A number of interesting topics including indications for surgery, patient selection, surgical techniques, complex clinical scenarios, training and future implementation will be discussed and the developed.
During the meeting you will be exposed to state of the art lectures and videos on surgical techniques. A number of “Meet the Professor” sessions will be organised.
On the 9th of February an EHPBA endorsed technical course will take place at Southampton University Hospital Trust. During this course our expert speakers will present their surgical techniques, tips and tricks, which they have developed during their working experience.
The meeting on the 10th and 11th February 2017 will be held at the Hilton at Ageas Bowl. The hotel is close to Southampton and Portsmouth city centres and is 10 minutes by road from Southampton airport.
We are within easy reach of London (fast trains every 30 minutes), Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Winchester and Salisbury, so there are many reasons to attend the meeting in addition to the high quality scientific programme we have prepared for you.
