Case description
After completion of this video, you will be able to identify and discuss some features of the mediastinum:
Vertebral level and surface anatomy of the transverse thoracic plane, phrenic nerve, vagus nerve, intercostal nerves and sympathetic trunk, termination of the thoracic duct, anastomosis between posterior and anterior intercostal arteries and their role in coarctation of the aorta, origin of the internal thoracic artery, relation of the subclavian artery to the first rib, relations in the superior mediastinum.
