Case description

After completion of this video, you will be able to identify and discuss some features of the heart:
Blood supply of the heart, anterior interventricular (LAD) artery its origin and branches, relations of the oblique pericardial sinus, surface anatomy of the cardiac apex, role of papillary muscles and chordea tendineae in the competence of the atrioventricular (mitral and tricuspid) valves, auscultatory areas of heart valves, layers of the pericardium and the location of the pericardial cavity, identification of the chambers of the heart on its external surface, identifying the great vessels: aorta, superior vena cava, inferior vena cava, pulmonary trunk, and pulmonary veins, identifying some internal features of the heart: moderator band, aortic vestibular, infundibulum, papillary muscles, trabeculae carneae.
