Case description

Cholangiocarcinoma is relatively rare type of neoplasm. Annually, there are only about 2 000 - 3 000 new cases in the US. More cases are diagnosed in Asia, which is connected with frequent parasitic infestations. This is the case of a 47 years old, womam, presenting obstrutive jaundice, and MRN showing a IIIb colangiocarcinoma with left portal vein obstrution. This Patient was submmited to a Left hepatectomy, extended to the segment I, and complete biliary ressection, with a Roux on Y bilio-enteric reconstrution.
