Author of over 500 scientific publications, 51 patents ()32 of which have already been granted), and 35 brain atlases he developed otgether with his team. Prof. Nowinski has proposed a number of new concepts, including atlas-assisted processing of medical images, do-it-yourself neurosurgery, helical stereotaxy, operating room of the future, probabilistic functional and stroke atlases, and atlas-assisted stroke image processing.
