- Prof. Benz studied medicine in Tübingen and Homburg. His professional career led him back to his birthplace Nagold via the stations USA, Switzerland, Tübingen and Rostock. Since 2005, he has been Head of the Clinic for General, Visceral and Vascular Surgery, and since 2008 Head of the Center for Colorectal Cancer, whose founding, development and certification he played a decisive role.
