- Professor Anders Nattestad completed dental school in 1986, Ph.D. in 1991 and Specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1997 at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. He has been full time faculty member at the University of Copenhagen since his training and left a position as Chair of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in January 2004 to join the new dental school in Las Vegas, Nevada as director of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He left that position in August 2007 to join the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni school of dentistry as Professor and Director of undergraduate Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has published more than 40 scientific articles on a broad range of topics including treatment of fractures by miniplates, precision of orthognathic surgery, apicoectomies, e-learning and educational politics. He has been speaking at over 100 meetings internationally ranging from Greenland to Singapore, from Japan to Greece, and from Iceland to Romania. He has been a keynote speaker at the Danish Dental Associations annual meeting for over 10 years in succession.
