Case description

May be it is strange if i told you that you can evaluate the normal and abnormal anatomy by looking at a graph. When they put the flow against volumes in evaluating the pulmonary function, they are actually evaluating the airways and the avleolar spaces. The changes in flow would represent airway obstruction while the volumes give a clue about the lung capacity and air trapping .
