Case description

This research paper aimed to investigate the correlation between obsessive compulsive contamination symptoms (which include excessive concerns regarding dirt and bacteria) and symptoms of menstruation phobia (which include irraional fear and disgust of menstruation and related-situations) among Egyptian females (n=135) aged from 18 to 48. The research found that there is a-statistically significant positive moderate correlation between obsessive compulsive contamination symptoms and symptoms of menstruation phobia among Egyptian females.  It was also found that approximately 11% of the participants could be suffering from menstruation phobia. The main purpose of publishing this study and its findings is to encourage researchers to conduct more resrearch on menstruation phobia to help females who may be suffering in silence.
