Case description

Making a temporary crown is not always easy. There are lots of steps involved, and each step has its own hurdles. I have developed my own way of making temporary crowns that will make it easy and straightforward for you. The first step is to make the index (matrix) using a tray and a PVS putty impression material. When the crown preparation is finished, then it is time to make the temporary restoration. I use a vent hole on the occlusal or the palatal, to allow for excess cement to come out, which drastically improves the marginal fit of the crown.
