Case description

This video shows first online report of Laparoscopic Kasai Procedure. The surgery was performed in a 30-day-old girl, who was admitted with a history of jaundice and feacal acholia.

The Kasai Procedure (Hepatoportoenterostomy) is a surgical procedure performed because of biliary atresia in newborn. It involves preparation of porta hepatis, removal of gall bladder and biliary ducts and attachment of Roux-en-Y intestinal anastomosis.
