Case description

The site of origin of recurring epistaxis is not always easily identified. Nasal endoscopes have proven invaluable for identification of the site of bleeding and for the application of site-specific cauterization. This small cherry-red hemangioma located on the anterior medial surface of this left ethmoidal bulla was the source of recurring severe epistaxis. Once the hemangioma was identified, it was readily destroyed by suction electrocautery.
